Who We Are

Committed to our clients and our communities

Reentry Ready was established in 2023 with a mission to support communities affected by systemic harm. Our nonprofit focuses on advocacy and community engagement to help those most in need. Together, we can bridge the divide and foster lasting change for a better future.

Reentry Ready is a fiscally sponsored project focused on restorative justice.  We are based in Pennsylvania and believe in restoring communities harmed while we also believe in the power of transformation. Join us in our mission to give back to create a more just and equitable society.

Who We Are

We have a long way to go but we have come a long way.  From the very early personal experience of our founder to today, we have seen opportunities for commutation become a reality. Life sentenced individuals are the most expensive to incarcerate as they age and the most likely to not reoffend. Reentry Ready invests in these men and women to see them help make our communities safer, while bringing awareness, education and advocacy to individuals who have worked hard to be better people.

Years in Perspective

1995

Our founder began her journey of lived experience.

2017

22 years after our founders first experience with the system things began to change in Pennsylvania, commutation became a reality for some.

2019

Innocence cases were on the rise throughout the United States while laws were changing. Real attention was being paid to Criminal Justice Reform and while Pennsylvania, was becoming a second chance state, it still remained behind.

2020

COVID got into our prison system, men and women were dying  behind bars. Our founder began working tirelessly to bring awareness to those inside the walls, working to see some form of reprieve for those who could be released at least temporarily and safely. Strong alliances were built, inside and outside the walls and the focus on second chances grew to an all time high

2023

After 3 years of heavy advocacy to see individuals who made poor decisions have an opportunity to come home and after observing more incarcerated, while also holding discussions with lawmakers, it was apparent that change needed to happen. However, with many lawmakers reserved and a board of pardons not sharing their concerns when denying an applicant Reentry Ready was formed. We were formed to give back to the communities while also helping the incarcerated. Creating programs that will allow our clients to stand out and hopefully receive the unanimous vote needed to rejoin our society, keep our communities safer and being both fiscally aware and responsible.

2025

Reentry Ready was born! We became fiscally sponsored and received our first donation from Senator John Kane!

We have donated one large painting to a community member, thanks to our artist Perez and have 3 more on tap to donate.

We have incarcerated individuals signing up for the strategic mentorship program and working to send art for the art giveback program.
